Dual Axis Solar Tracking System with Battery Storage
Project Overview
Designed and developed an automatic solar tracking system using a 10W solar panel, four LDR sensors, Arduino UNO, and dual MG996R servo motors. The system continuously monitors sunlight direction and adjusts both horizontal and vertical axes to maintain optimum solar exposure. An 11.1V lithium battery pack stores generated energy for later usage.
Key Technical Details
- Automatic dual-axis sunlight tracking
- Four-direction light sensing
- Servo-based horizontal and vertical movement
- Solar energy harvesting with battery storage
- Improved solar panel efficiency
- Custom mechanical tracking structure
